This movie had high expectations and here is why: Leonardo DiCaprio never fails. He played his role as Jordan Belfort superbly. This movie is based very carefully on Jordan's book in real life. The book reads exactly as the movie plays.
After seeing this movie I realized just how much debauchery is in high grossing firms. I met a stockbroker from New York and he told me the movie was even tamer than reality! He said Wolf of Wall Street was weak compared to their antics.
I have seen this movie over 5 times and wouldn't mind watching it again.
- Jonah Hill offered to be paid the bare minimum so he could work with this film's director, Martin Scorsese.
- Martin Scorsese insisted that all the actors do the scenes almost completely improvved.
- All these events are true.
